Heather Gilligan, LCSW, PMH-C

As a therapist, I understand how anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem and navigating life transitions can lead us to feel disconnected from ourselves. I will work with you with compassion, guiding you to make changes and establishing new habits that better serve you in creating the life you want. My goal is to support you during these major life changes and assist you with developing the skills to be successful in your journey. I have a passion for working with pregnant and postpartum parents to help them adjust to this major life change. In addition to utilizing CBT and strengths based approaches, I utilized EMDR to help process past trauma.

Jacklyn Cimino, LCSW

I understand how daunting and intimidating the process of finding a therapist can be. I hope my non-judgmental and comforting approach provides you with a safe space when you are in a vulnerable moment. I feel we all possess the inherent strength and resilience to help us through our treatment. I work with clients to find the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to assist with identifying and alternative coping skills to better manage the obstacles they are facing. My passion is working with adolescents and young adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and other everyday stressors. In my session, I combine elements of CBT, mindfulness, strength based therapy, and EMDR, tailoring each session to the unique needs and preferences of my clients.

No one is exempt from the struggles and challenges of life; that comes with living a life. And no matter how much someone else’s life may seem perfect (or just way better than ours), everyone is struggling in their own way. My goal as a therapist is to support clients as they navigate the challenges of life. Taking a strengths-based, person-centered approach, I will accompany you on this journey of self-discovery as we work towards addressing your individual therapy goals. Whether those goals include making behavioral or emotional changes in your life, or learning to reframe responses to the things we cannot change, I believe every one of us possess strengths that can help us to navigate life’s challenges and find peace amidst the chaos. In addition to strengths-based, person-centered therapy, I also weave in elements of CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. My passion is working with adults dealing with depression, anxiety, and everyday life stressors. I am particularly interested in helping people navigate life transitions, such as aging, illness, caretaking responsibilities and relationship status.

Marissa O’Connor, LMSW

Seeking help is a difficult first step, and I look forward to collaboratively identifying ways to support you on the next stages of your journey. I am ready to face any difficult challenge by your side.

My experience has primarily been supporting individuals facing difficult life transitions. This has included first generation college students, moving forward from histories of trauma, dating after abuse and preventing revictimization, stress management during high conflict divorce and custody proceedings, reunification with children, and supporting parents seeking to break intergenerational cycles of trauma and insecure attachment and maintain and build secure attachments with their children. I have assisted individuals face these challenges through diagnoses of anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I blend my educational background in Psychology and Social Work to consider the ways in which an individual’s experience, environment, and stressors impact clinical symptomatology.

My approach is eclectic, person-centered, trauma-informed, and relational. I utilize psychodynamic and attachment based theory to underpin my work. In addition, I integrate solutions focused approaches, CBT interventions, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction approaches as needed. My experiences have given me a breadth of cases and knowledge which I bring into my practice, and I look forward to continually growing and adapting with you.
